Father Paul, Chairman of SGYC says:

The Rt Hon Seema Malhotra MP commends our work as important in her constituency, and valuable to the young people we serve - as does Prof Carlos Soares, and Dr David Gilmore.

WILL YOU PLEASE SUPPORT US, TOO ?

Since covid hit we have lost the local fund-raising momentum, and local business has declined - both had provided some finance. Grants are ever harder to garner in a very

competitive market - and we have no Endowment or Reserves to enable us to continue to Provide the essential service to young people in our area of considerable disadvantage.

We contend with county lines drug running, racism, bullying, sexism, and broken families with no real bread-winner - so we provide a free Supper Club to support struggling families, as well individual support and referral.

Our skill training in IT (the MP provided 10 laptops to assist this), personal mentoring, academic support - as well as fun, cooking, indoor and outdoor games combine to assist the personal development of young people. We enable them - for our part - to become good citizens who will contribute economically

and socially to the community.

Recently we have loaned two computers to assist homework, provide high level IT training for a club member going to university, and counselling for several people in difficulties. Last January we suffered the murder of 19 year old near our premises - drug related.

You can support us financially through via Bank Transfer (we can collect Gift Aid), or by cheque, and now by PayPal.

Thank you for your generosity.
